Platelet Rich Fibrin

Platelet Rich Fibrin

Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) is a type of regenerative therapy that uses the patient's own blood to promote healing and tissue regeneration. PRF is created by drawing a small amount of the patient's blood and then spinning it in a centrifuge to separate the platelets and other growth factors from the rest of the blood components.

The resulting PRF is a fibrin matrix containing concentrated platelets, white blood cells, and growth factors. PRF is then applied to the area of injury or damage to promote healing and tissue regeneration. PRF can be used in a variety of medical and dental applications, including bone and soft tissue regeneration, wound healing, and as an adjunct to surgical procedures.

PRF is believed to promote healing by stimulating the body's natural healing mechanisms and accelerating the repair process. The growth factors and cytokines contained in PRF help to recruit and activate cells involved in tissue repair and regeneration, including stem cells and fibroblasts. PRF has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, which can help reduce pain and prevent infection.
