Dr. Godko reads your 3D CT scan, your bone and your bite. All-on-6 and All-on-X are fixed arches; snap-on dentures clip onto implants and come out to clean. He recommends the one that fits your mouth and your goals, on one arch or both. See the full arch dental implants overview.

Adding implants later means a second surgery. Placing the right number from the start, planned from your 3D CT scan, is the efficient route, and at Deluxe the starting price is the same whichever number your scan calls for.

All-on-6 is typically done with local anesthesia, so the area is numb throughout. If you prefer, Dr. Godko also offers nitrous oxide, oral sedation or IV sedation, all given by him. Some soreness and swelling afterward is normal, and most patients are typically back to normal activities within a few days. See sedation options.

You leave with your new teeth the same day, along with your aftercare instructions, and a follow-up visit is scheduled. Your final arch is secured once the implants have fused with the bone, and both offices are ready to immediately assist with any concerns along the way.

You can eat and drink the same day, and Dr. Godko gives you the instructions before and after surgery: soft foods first, then softer cooked foods like fish, pasta and eggs while the implants fuse. Skip hard, crunchy and chewy foods until your final arch is in; after that, you are back to the foods you missed.

Brush twice a day, rinse beneath the arch with a water flosser and use small interdental brushes around the implant posts. The teeth cannot decay, but the gums around six implants need professional care: cleanings and checkups every six months, at either office, where your arch and the gums around it are checked.

As with any surgery, there is a small risk of infection, and occasionally an implant is slow to fuse with the bone. Careful 3D planning, daily home care and your follow-up visits keep those risks low, and an implant that does not fuse can usually be replaced once the area heals. Your tooth shape, shade, smile line and gum contour are designed for your face; the number of implants does not change how your smile looks. Your tongue typically adjusts to the new arch quickly, reading aloud speeds it up, and Dr. Godko checks your bite and speech at every follow-up.

Six implants need healthy bone in six places, and your 3D CT scan maps it. Where bone is thin, Dr. Godko performs bone grafting, sinus lifts and ridge splitting himself, so being told “no” elsewhere is not the last word: read who is a candidate for dental implants.

Yes, with planning. Gum disease treatment is in-house, so your gums are treated and your implants planned in the same office. If you smoke or vape, Dr. Godko plans your healing around it at your consultation. If you grind or clench, he plans your bite around it, and once you are healed a custom night guard protects your arch while you sleep.
