Periodontal services diagnose and treat the gums and the bone that hold your teeth in place. At Deluxe Dentistry & Esthetics they include gum disease treatment, deep cleanings(scaling and root planing), periodontal maintenance, gum grafting, crown lengthening and lip frenectomy, all in-house at both offices.

Your gums are treated here. Deluxe offers periodontal, endodontic, prosthodontic and oral surgery services under one roof: the hygiene team performs deep cleanings and maintenance, and Dr. Maxim Godko performs every gum surgery himself. There is no referral, no second consultation and no second set of x-rays.

A bacterial infection of the gums and the bone around the teeth. It starts as gingivitis: red, puffy gums that bleed, with no bone lost yet. Untreated, it becomes periodontitis, where pockets deepen between the gums and teeth and the bone wears away until teeth loosen. Each stage is treated differently, so diagnosis comes first.

Your gum pockets are measured and the bone is checked on digital x-rays. Then you see what the team sees: your chart, your x-rays and your diagnosis, with a written plan and its cost before you leave. Nothing starts until you agree.

Your chart decides it, not a sales pitch. A regular cleaning is for healthy gums or mild gingivitis. Pockets deeper than 4 mm, bleeding, tartar below the gums and bone loss on x-rays call for scaling and root planing, and you are shown those findings before you agree to anything.

Gingivitis, the early stage, reverses with a professional cleaning and good home care. Periodontitis is brought under control and kept there: a deep cleaning stops the active infection, and maintenance visits every three to four months keep it from coming back.

The area is fully numbed with local anesthesia before any deep cleaning or gum surgery, so most patients feel only pressure. If you are nervous, nitrous oxide, oral sedation or IV sedation is available, with Dr. Godko certified in all three. See sedation dentistry.

Saving your teeth comes first. Treatment controls the infection and protects the support that is left, which gives a loose tooth its best chance, and Dr. Godko tells you plainly which teeth have a long-term future. When one can’t be saved, Dr. Godko performs the tooth extraction in-house and can replace it with a titanium dental implant, the gold standard with up to a 95% success rate, starting at $3,199 for a single implant (the implant, abutment and crown included) and starting at $18,999 per arch for full arch implants.

Each treatment is priced at your personalized consultation, based on what your gums need, such as how many areas need a deep cleaning and whether gum surgery is involved. Your written plan shows the cost before treatment starts. We accept PPO plans and most carriers, including CIGNA, MetLife, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Delta Dental and GEHA Connection Dental. No Medicaid, DMO or HMO plans accepted. We work with your insurance to ensure you receive the maximum benefit. Without insurance, the Adult Perio membership plan is built for gum care, and 0% financing through Cherry is available.
