What your exam includes
Six Checks at Every Exam, and a Plan Without Pressure

Your gums, measured
The pocket depth around every tooth is measured. Healthy pockets are 1 to 3 mm; deeper readings are an early sign of gum disease, and you hear the numbers.

We work with your insurance to ensure you receive the maximum benefit: the team checks your benefits before your visit and bills your insurance for you. If you don’t have insurance, a membership plan covers your exams for one yearly fee.

Membership plan terms & limitations ›
- This is a dental discount plan and is not dental insurance.
- It is good only at Deluxe Dentistry, LLC. If you are referred to a specialist, they will not offer this discount.
- If you pay for treatment through CareCredit or another financing option, the discount on all treatment is reduced to 0%.
- Payments for services are due at the time of service.
- Benefits apply only while you stay enrolled until your treatment is complete. If enrollment expires before treatment is finished, coverage is no longer available.
- The plan can’t be used for treatment after an injury where a lawsuit, or outside medical, disability or workers’ compensation insurance, is involved.
- Not transferable: one family member can’t be substituted for another.
- Not refundable if you choose not to use the plan.
- Rates are subject to change annually.
- There’s no ID card or member number. Your membership is kept in your electronic record; it starts the day you sign up and renews on that date each year.
- Only the dentist can decide between the Adult Plan and the Adult Perio Plan, based on your gum health. If you enroll in the Adult Plan before your first visit and the dentist determines you need the Perio Plan, you pay the $200 difference.

A dental exam, also called a checkup or oral exam, is your dentist’s full check of your teeth, fillings and crowns, gums, bite, jaw joints and the soft tissues of your mouth, with x-rays when you need them. It ends with a plan for anything that needs care.
Cavities, cracked or worn teeth, failing fillings or crowns, gum disease, signs of grinding, jaw joint problems and any unusual spot in the mouth. The gum pocket around every tooth is measured too.
Every six months for healthy teeth and gums. Gum disease or frequent cavities call for a visit every three to four months, and the team sets your schedule from your exam.
Yes. Cavities, gum disease and cracks start without pain. A checkup finds them while the fix is small: a filling instead of a root canal and a crown.
