Who gives your IV sedation

Dr. Godko Gives Your IV Sedation Himself

Who actually sedates you? At Deluxe it’s Dr. Godko himself, so your comfort level is set by a dentist who knows your plan. The ADA explains how anesthesia and sedation are used in dentistry.

  • Certified in all three levels

Dr. Maxim Godko is certified in IV, oral and nitrous oxide sedation, so the level is chosen for you, not for the office.

  • Given by Dr. Godko himself

He places the IV and gives the sedation in the same visit as your treatment. No second provider to schedule.

  • The right level for you

At your personalized consultation he goes over all three levels and recommends the one that fits your treatment and comfort.

  • With you start to finish

He stays with you through the whole procedure, from the first minute to the last.

Is IV sedation right for you?

Who IV sedation helps most

IV sedation isn’t only for extreme fear. It helps anyone who finds dental care hard to get through, and anyone with a lot of work to do. Dr. Godko decides whether it suits you at your personalized consultation.

Severe dental anxiety

For people who have put off care for years because of fear or a bad past experience.

A strong gag reflex

A deep, sleep-like state makes treatment far easier when gagging gets in the way.

Long or complex treatment

Implant surgery, several extractions or full-arch work, done while you rest.

Several treatments at once

More of your treatment finished in fewer appointments, so you come back less often.

Very sensitive teeth

For people who find even routine numbing and dental work hard to tolerate.

Trouble sitting still

For anyone who finds it hard to stay in the chair through a long appointment.

Step through it. Every part is talked over with Dr. Godko before your appointment.

Bring your ride

A friend or family member comes with you. You’ve followed your written instructions, including when to stop eating and drinking, and Dr. Godko has gone over them with you.

Three levels of sedation

How IV sedation compares with oral sedation and nitrous oxide

Deluxe offers all three levels of sedation, and Dr. Godko gives each one himself. IV sedation is the deepest.

Nitrous oxide

The lightest level. You breathe it through a small nose mask and feel calm and relaxed. See nitrous oxide.

Oral sedation

A moderate level from a pill taken before your visit. You feel drowsy and deeply relaxed. See oral sedation.

IV sedation

The deepest level offered in the office: a deep, sleep-like state through a small IV line.

Why IV

Fine-tuned as your treatment goes

What sets IV sedation apart is control. Dr. Godko can deepen or lighten your sedation in real time, holding you at the right level for each stage of the procedure. A sedation pill can’t be fine-tuned the same way once it’s taken.

It’s the deepest level of sedation in the office, and a natural fit for implant surgery and severe dental anxiety.

  • Local numbing as well
  • More treatment in fewer visits
