Why patients choose us
Extracted, Protected and Replaced Under One Roof
At many practices, a tooth that has to come out means a referral: a separate oral-surgery consultation, new x-rays, a second fee, then a trip back to your dentist to talk about filling the gap. At Deluxe Dentistry & Esthetics, every step stays under one roof, and Dr. Maxim Godko performs the extraction, the graft and the implant himself.
-
1.Diagnose
Digital x-rays, and a 3D CT scan when the roots, nerve or sinus need it.
-
2.Save or remove
A filling, crown or root canal first; an extraction only when the tooth can’t be restored.
-
3.Remove gently
Simple or surgical, numbed first, with nitrous, oral or IV sedation by Dr. Godko if you prefer.
-
4.Protect the bone
A socket preservation graft, with PRF case by case, at the same visit when the implant comes later.
-
5.Replace the tooth
Implant, bridge or partial, with written aftercare and a follow-up visit scheduled.
No referral, no second consultation, no second set of x-rays. Every procedure is available at both offices.

Root Canal or Extraction? How the Decision Gets Made
A natural tooth is worth keeping when it can be restored. These are the questions Dr. Godko answers with you, on your own x-rays, before anything is done.
| Save the tooth | Remove the tooth | |
|---|---|---|
| When it fits | Decay or a crack that stops above the gumline; healthy bone around the root | A fracture below the gumline, a split root, bone lost to gum disease, or an infection that won’t clear |
| The treatment | A filling, a crown or a root canal, done in-house | A simple or surgical extraction, done in-house |
| What comes next | A natural tooth that keeps working | A socket graft if an implant is planned, then an implant, bridge or partial |

Two kinds of extraction
Simple or Surgical, Both Done In-House
Your x-rays show which one your tooth needs.
Simple extraction
For a tooth fully above the gum. Once you are numb, the tooth is gently loosened and lifted out.
- Local anesthesia
- Stitches rarely needed
- Back to your routine quickly
Surgical extraction
For a tooth broken at the gumline, with difficult roots or not fully erupted. A small opening in the gum gives access, and the tooth is removed in sections when that is gentler.
- Local anesthesia, sedation if you prefer
- Stitches where needed
- Socket graft when needed

What’s Normal, and When to Call
Every patient leaves with written aftercare and a follow-up visit, and both offices are ready to immediately assist with any concerns.
Normal healing
- Pink saliva or light oozing on the first day
- Swelling that peaks in the first few days, then eases
- Tenderness that eases a little each day
- A socket that slowly fills in as the gum heals
Contact either office right away
- Pain that gets stronger a few days later (dry socket)
- Swelling that grows instead of shrinking
- Fever or pus
- Bleeding that won’t slow with firm pressure on gauze
Call 911
- Trouble breathing or swallowing
- Swelling spreading toward the eye or neck

Socket preservation
Protect the Bone for What Comes Next
Once a tooth is gone, the bone that held it starts to shrink. When the implant will go in at a later visit, Dr. Godko places a socket preservation graft right after the extraction, so the implant has a solid foundation.
Not every extraction needs a graft. You hear whether yours does, and why, before the procedure. More on socket preservation.
- Keeps the bone’s height and width
- Implant planned in 3D in the same office

“Blessing when I found this place. It was 2 years ago and I needed an emergency extraction. My old dentist was telling me I was overreacting and refused to X-Ray me. I googled emergency dentist and found Deluxe Dentistry and Dr. Godko saw me an hour later. And I’ll never go to another dentist again.”
“Just got home from a tooth extraction. All I can say is that these guys were great. Very gentle while at the same time very thorough with the numbing solution.”
“Recommend Deluxe Dentistry highly. They made me feel less anxiety. I had to have 3 teeth extracted. They were great all the way around”
“Staff was outstanding. They do a great job at keeping the atmosphere comfortable. Dr is obviously very good at what he does. Had 4 teeth pulled 1 crown and had a partial all in one sitting. Of course, I sleep through the whole thing. Had no real discomfort the following days.”

FAQ
Tooth extraction questions, answered
Dr. Maxim Godko performs every simple and surgical extraction himself, in-house, at both offices. Deluxe offers periodontal, endodontic, prosthodontic and oral surgery services under one roof.
A tooth is extracted when it can’t be saved: decay that reaches below the gum, advanced gum disease that has destroyed the bone around it, a crack or break that can’t be repaired, or an infection that won’t clear. Impacted wisdom teeth and crowding before orthodontic treatment are other common reasons.
Saving a natural tooth comes first whenever a filling, crown or root canal can restore it. An extraction is the right call when decay or a fracture reaches below the gumline, the supporting bone is gone or an infection can’t be cleared, and Dr. Godko shows you why on your x-rays before you decide.
A simple extraction removes a tooth that is fully above the gum. A surgical extraction is for a tooth broken at the gumline, a tooth with curved or fused roots, or one that hasn’t fully come in, such as an impacted wisdom tooth. Your x-rays show which one you need, and Dr. Godko performs both.
The tooth, jawbone and gum are numbed first with local anesthesia, which is typical for every extraction. Dr. Godko then gently rocks the tooth to widen the socket and lifts it out, and gauze over the socket helps the protective clot form. You feel pressure as the tooth loosens; if anything feels sharp, say so and more numbing is given. For patients who prefer it, nitrous oxide, oral sedation or IV sedation is available, with Dr. Godko certified in all three.
It depends on the tooth. Once you are numb, a simple extraction is typically quick; a surgical extraction, or several teeth at once, takes longer. Dr. Godko tells you what to expect for your tooth before he begins.
Soft, cool foods such as yogurt, soup that has cooled, eggs and mashed potatoes for the first few days, chewed on the other side. Skip hot, spicy, crunchy and chewy foods until the site settles, then return to your usual foods as you feel comfortable. Dr. Godko gives you the instructions before and after.
Dry socket is the loss of the protective blood clot: pain that gets stronger a few days after the extraction, often with a bad taste. An infection brings swelling that grows, fever or pus. They need different treatment, and both offices are ready to immediately assist with any concerns.
It depends on whether the extraction is simple or surgical, on sedation and on whether a bone graft is placed, and it is priced at your personalized consultation, before anything is done. We accept PPO plans and most carriers, including CIGNA, MetLife, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Delta Dental and GEHA Connection Dental. No Medicaid, DMO or HMO plans accepted. We work with your insurance to ensure you receive the maximum benefit. 0% financing through Cherry and in-house membership plans are also available.
Yes. Before the tooth comes out, Dr. Godko explains whether an implant, a bridge or a partial denture fits your mouth and budget, and when the implant will go in at a later visit, he places a socket preservation graft right after the extraction. A titanium implant is the gold standard for replacing a single tooth, with up to a 95% success rate, starting at $3,199 including the implant, the abutment and the crown.
