Your surgery, your healing

PRF From Your Own Blood, Placed by the Doctor Doing Your Surgery

When the extraction, the graft and the implant happen at different offices, healing support is easy to skip. At Deluxe Dentistry & Esthetics, Dr. Maxim Godko makes PRF part of the procedure itself.

The referral loop

  • A surgeon for the extraction or graft
  • A separate office for the implant
  • Healing support at one stop, not the other

At Deluxe Dentistry & Esthetics

  • Placed by Dr. Godko during your procedure
  • Extraction, graft and implant, all by Dr. Godko
  • IV sedation given by Dr. Godko himself

Your surgery and your healing support from one doctor, at either office.

The basics

What Is Platelet-Rich Fibrin?

Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) is the second generation of platelet concentrate, made from your own blood with no anticoagulants or additives. Spun in a centrifuge, the blood separates into layers, and the PRF layer forms a soft fibrin matrix packed with platelets, white blood cells and growth factors.

Placed in a surgical site, that matrix is a natural scaffold: it holds the growth factors where the body needs them and releases them slowly over days to weeks, signaling cells to build new bone and gum tissue.

The benefits of PRF

Safe: your own blood

Made entirely from your own blood, with no donor material and nothing added.

Faster recovery

Supports a quicker, smoother recovery after extractions, grafts and implants.

Bone regeneration

Supports new bone forming in a graft, a socket or around an implant, so grafts and implants integrate better.

Less swelling

Reduces inflammation after surgery and helps the gum close over the site.

Protects the site

The fibrin layer shields the wound from saliva and bacteria while it heals.

Easier grafting

Mixed with graft particles, PRF makes the graft easier to handle and place.

FAQ

PRF questions, answered

PRF stands for platelet-rich fibrin, a regenerative therapy made from your own blood. A small sample is spun in a centrifuge, and what forms is a fibrin matrix of concentrated platelets, white blood cells and growth factors. At Deluxe Dentistry & Esthetics, Dr. Maxim Godko prepares and places it himself.

In dentistry, PRF is used in bone grafts for dental implants, sinus lifts and ridge augmentation, in extraction sockets and around newly placed implants. Dr. Godko applies it to bone graft sites, extraction sockets and implant areas for faster healing, less swelling after surgery and bone integration around new implants.

A small amount of your blood is drawn at your appointment and spun in a centrifuge at the office. The blood separates into layers, and the PRF layer is placed at your surgical site during the same procedure. Nothing is added: no anticoagulants, no chemicals, no donor material.

No. Both come from your own blood, but platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a liquid concentrate that releases its growth factors quickly, while platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), the second generation, forms a fibrin matrix with no additives that releases growth factors slowly over days to weeks.

Yes. PRF is made entirely from your own blood, with no donor material and nothing added. Dr. Godko reviews your health at your consultation, coordinates with your physician when necessary, and decides whether PRF is right for your treatment.

No. PRF supports healing alongside your graft or implant; it doesn’t replace them. When bone is missing, bone grafting rebuilds it, and PRF supports the graft as it heals.

Not every case. PRF is used case by case, together with grafting: Dr. Godko plans it where it supports the graft, socket or implant he is treating, and he goes over that with you at your consultation.

Very little. The draw is small, like a routine blood test, and the spin happens at the office while you are being prepared for surgery, so there is no separate visit and nothing extra to recover from. Your procedure is typically done with local anesthesia, and sedation is available if you prefer it.

Yes. You can eat and drink the same day, and Dr. Godko gives you clear instructions before and after your procedure.

No. At Deluxe Dentistry & Esthetics, Dr. Maxim Godko prepares the PRF and performs the extraction, graft or implant it supports, in-house, with no referral to another office.
