Firmer Tissue, an Airway That Stays Open
As you sleep, the soft tissues of your mouth and throat relax and can partly block the airway. The tissue vibrates as air passes, and the result is snoring, difficulty breathing at night and poor quality of sleep.
During each session, the laser is applied to the soft palate and the tissue at the back of the mouth. As that tissue firms up over the series, it is less likely to collapse while you sleep, so snoring gets quieter and less frequent.

Snoring shows that breathing is obstructed and can point to sleep apnea, though occasional snoring doesn’t necessarily mean you have it.
