When your bone allows it, same-day implants are a separate path: the tooth comes out and the implant typically goes in at the same visit, and you leave with your new teeth the same day. Yes. The extraction and graft are typically done with local anesthesia alone, and if you are anxious, Dr. Godko can add nitrous oxide, oral sedation or IV sedation, a deep, sleep-like state in which you can still respond. He gives each one himself, at the Skillman, NJ office. With IV or oral sedation, plan for someone to drive you home.

A few sand-like graft granules working loose early on is normal.
