Eating
With braces, pass on ice, hard candy, popcorn kernels, caramel, gum and bagels, and cut apples into small pieces. With aligners, hot and dark drinks can stain or warp them, so only water goes in while they are in.
Cleaning
Brush after meals, angling the brush above and below the brackets, and floss daily with a floss threader or small interdental brushes. Rinse and gently brush your aligners every day so they stay clear, and brush your teeth before you put them back in.
Comfort
Expect a tight, pressured feeling for a few days at the start and after each adjustment or new set, which fades quickly. Aligners have no wires or brackets to rub your cheeks, and a slight lisp in the first few days usually passes.

It depends on your bite and how far your teeth need to move. Fastbraces® are designed to straighten teeth in months, not years, often in 3 to 12 months, and with Invisalign, wearing your aligners as directed keeps treatment on schedule. You get your personalized timeline at the consultation.
With Fastbraces®, you come in every 4 to 6 weeks for an adjustment and progress check. With Invisalign, regular checkups let Dr. Godko make adjustments as your teeth move.
