Why patients choose us

Extracted, Protected and Replaced Under One Roof

At many practices, a tooth that has to come out means a referral: a separate oral-surgery consultation, new x-rays, a second fee, then a trip back to your dentist to talk about filling the gap. At Deluxe Dentistry & Esthetics, every step stays under one roof, and Dr. Maxim Godko performs the extraction, the graft and the implant himself.

  1. 1.Diagnose

Digital x-rays, and a 3D CT scan when the roots, nerve or sinus need it.

  2. 2.Save or remove

A filling, crown or root canal first; an extraction only when the tooth can’t be restored.

  3. 3.Remove gently

Simple or surgical, numbed first, with nitrous, oral or IV sedation by Dr. Godko if you prefer.

  4. 4.Protect the bone

A socket preservation graft, with PRF case by case, at the same visit when the implant comes later.

  5. 5.Replace the tooth

Implant, bridge or partial, with written aftercare and a follow-up visit scheduled.

No referral, no second consultation, no second set of x-rays. Every step happens at our Skillman, NJ office in the Montgomery Promenade, and every procedure is also available in Lawrenceville, NJ.

Save it or remove it

Root Canal or Extraction? How the Decision Gets Made

A natural tooth is worth keeping when it can be restored. These are the questions Dr. Godko answers with you, on your own x-rays, before anything is done.

Save the tooth

When it fits
Decay or a crack that stops above the gumline; healthy bone around the root
The treatment
A filling, a crown or a root canal, done in-house
What comes next
A natural tooth that keeps working

Remove the tooth

When it fits
A fracture below the gumline, a split root, bone lost to gum disease, or an infection that won’t clear
The treatment
A simple or surgical extraction, done in-house
What comes next
A socket graft if an implant is planned, then an implant, bridge or partial

Two kinds of extraction

Simple or Surgical, Both Done In-House

Your x-rays show which one your tooth needs.

Dr. Maxim Godko holding a patient’s hand chairside before a simple tooth extraction

Simple extraction

For a tooth fully above the gum. Once you are numb, the tooth is gently loosened and lifted out.

  • Local anesthesia
  • Stitches rarely needed
  • Back to your routine quickly

Surgical extraction

For a tooth broken at the gumline, with difficult roots or not fully erupted. A small opening in the gum gives access, and the tooth is removed in sections when that is gentler.

  • Local anesthesia, sedation if you prefer
  • Stitches where needed
  • Socket graft when needed

Socket preservation

Protect the Bone for What Comes Next

Once a tooth is gone, the bone that held it starts to shrink. When the implant will go in at a later visit, Dr. Godko places a socket preservation graft right after the extraction, so the implant has a solid foundation.

Not every extraction needs a graft. You hear whether yours does, and why, before the procedure. More on socket preservation.

“Blessing when I found this place. It was 2 years ago and I needed an emergency extraction. My old dentist was telling me I was overreacting and refused to X-Ray me. I googled emergency dentist and found Deluxe Dentistry and Dr. Godko saw me an hour later. And I’ll never go to another dentist again.”
James M.

FAQ

Tooth extraction in Skillman, NJ: your questions, answered

It comes out here. Dr. Maxim Godko performs every simple and surgical extraction himself at 40 Nevius Blvd, Suite 150, Skillman, NJ, including a tooth decayed or broken at the gumline, a tooth with curved or fused roots and an impacted wisdom tooth. You are never referred out to a specialist: Deluxe offers periodontal, endodontic, prosthodontic and oral surgery services under one roof.

It depends on whether the extraction is simple or surgical, on sedation and on whether a bone graft is placed, and it is priced at your personalized consultation, before anything is done. We accept PPO plans and most carriers, including CIGNA, MetLife, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Delta Dental and GEHA Connection Dental. No Medicaid, DMO or HMO plans accepted. We work with your insurance to ensure you receive the maximum benefit. 0% financing through Cherry and in-house membership plans are also available.

If the tooth hurts, is broken or is infected, call (609) 303-2005: same-day emergency care is available at both offices, and a tooth that can’t be saved typically comes out at that visit. Otherwise, your visit starts with a personalized consultation: an exam, your x-rays and every option explained, with the cost shown before anything is done.

The tooth, jawbone and gum are numbed first with local anesthesia, so most patients feel pressure as the tooth loosens rather than sharp pain; if anything feels sharp, say so and more numbing is given. Dr. Godko also gives nitrous oxide, oral sedation or IV sedation, in which you can still respond, himself. Afterward, expect tenderness that eases a little each day; a cold pack on the cheek helps with swelling.

Saving a natural tooth comes first whenever a filling, crown or root canal can restore it. An extraction is the right call when decay or a fracture reaches below the gumline, the supporting bone is gone or an infection can’t be cleared, and Dr. Godko shows you why on your x-rays before you decide.

Before the tooth comes out, Dr. Godko explains whether an implant, a bridge or a partial denture fits your mouth and budget, and when the implant will go in at a later visit, he places a socket preservation graft right after the extraction. A titanium implant is the gold standard for replacing a single tooth, with up to a 95% success rate, starting at $3,199 including the implant, the abutment and the crown.

Yes. You leave with written aftercare and a follow-up visit at the same office to check the healing and confirm the replacement plan. If pain grows instead of easing or bleeding won’t slow with firm pressure, both offices are ready to immediately assist with any concerns, and the Lawrenceville, NJ office is also open Saturdays from 9 am to 2 pm.

Follow the eating and drinking instructions Dr. Godko gives you, especially before oral or IV sedation, and have soft, cool foods ready at home. After local anesthesia alone or nitrous oxide, you can drive yourself home once you are released; after oral or IV sedation, a responsible adult drives you home, and Dr. Godko tells you when it is safe to drive again.

At 40 Nevius Blvd, Suite 150, Skillman, NJ 08558, in the Montgomery Promenade just off Route 206. Without traffic, it is about 10 minutes from Princeton, NJ on Route 206, about 12 minutes from Griggstown, NJ and about 13 minutes from Hopewell, NJ on County Route 518.

Yes, when your plan calls for it, and sedation makes a longer visit comfortable. When dentures follow, the ridge can be smoothed at the same time with pre-prosthetic surgery, and Dr. Godko plans the denture, partial or implants in the same office.
